Description
The NOAA Aircraft Operations Center (AOC) instruments, maintains, and operates aircraft in support of a variety of meteorological and oceanographic research projects. One of the primary requirements in a variety of missions is high reliability data and voice communications. AOC heavy aircraft (N42RF, N43RF, and N49RF) are equipped with satellite communications systems compatible with Inmarsat and Iridium satellite based communications systems. Satellite communications service utilizing the Iridium and Inmarsat communication satellite system are offered by a number of vendors licensed as distributors of the Iridium and Inmarsat products. This acquisition is to enter into a NEW Blanket Purchase Agreement (BPA) for the Iridium and Inmarsat communications services required for use on NOAA aircraft.It is critical that there be no discontinuity of services, and any required changes to calling procedures, telephone numbers, aircraft equipm
