TSA Digital Engineering

The Requirements Capabilities Analysis (RCA) Analysis and Engineering Executive Director (XD), Capability Management and Innovation XD, the mission-aligned Capability Managers (CMs), and their key stakeholders have an emerging need for integrally connected service to address complex threats and technology challengers for the capability portfolios. As CMs are responsible for the entire lifecycle of their capabilities and programs, they require the ability to have modern tools and solutions to provide digital insight and greater collaboration. This scope evolution will enable the Transportation Security Administration (TSA) to realize the full range of benefits from the ongoing investment in digital engineering requirements across the agency by standardizing the use of modeling capabilities and enhancing TSA s ability to understand operational, security, and efficiency trade-offs within and among systems. TSA will need to continue to build on current digital engineering success to continue its digital transformation. Recognizing the unique challenges of different missions and capability development goals, a digital engineering approach will address both organizational and solution complexity while enabling agility, integration, rigor, and collaboration across network infrastructure and screening capabilities.
