Type: Forecast • Source ID: F2026073054

Overview

Description
As U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) faces a growing need for more information, there exists private sector trade compliance platforms and technologies designed to support importers, exporters, and freight forwarders with commercial documentation, denied party screening, tariff calculation, and partner agency filing. These systems are typically optimized for transactional efficiency, cost savings, and regulatory compliance from a private sector business perspective. Access to this data greatly assists in CBP s targeting efforts, allocation of operational resources, and overall mission efficiency. Along with public, open source, and internal CBP data, this data provided via software as a service in Altana technology solutions provides new enforcement insights to CBP that allow for improved risk segmentation. The tool maximizes revenue collection by increasing targets of opportunity to prevent goods tainted with forced labor (UFLPA violations), as well as, for identification of risk of trans-shipped goods and counter synthetic narcotics. To accomplish these objectives, CBP currently uses the Altana Trade Enforcement Tool along with other commercial and CBP internal tools. Acquisition Strategy: Sole Source to Altana (SB)
