Description
The Contractor shall receive and recycle/dispose of gowns from two FEMA storage facilities. FEMA will provide transportation from the FEMA facilities to the location of the recycling facility or the Contractor's facility as long it's within 100 miles of each FEMA location in Springfield VA and Manteca CA. The Contractor shall be able to meet the requirements of receiving and offloading a minimum of ten trucks per day Monday- Friday with approximately 52 pallets per trailer. Contractors will be expected to recycle approximately 11.9 million gowns from FEMA's Springfield Virginia location and approximately 30.1. million from FEMA's Manteca California location. The gowns can consist of gowns that are 100% polyester, gowns that are 40/60 cotton polyester mixes, 35/65 cotton polyester mixes, some that are woven polyester/ carbon barrier and others that are polyproline. All gowns will arrive on pallets on an estimated 507 trucks from Springfield and approximately 617 from Manteca.
