Type: Forecast • Source ID: 43894
Overview
Description
The objective of this task is to provide support to NIST in standardizing the selected lightweight cryptographic algorithm, Ascon, for resource-constrained devices. The task also includes developing a new mode of operation, called an accordion cipher mode, to address the limitations of the block cipher modes. This task also provides support in the development of a memory-hard password hashing scheme that is effective in protecting against brute-force attacks.
