STATA Software Licenses – Maintenance and Support

This contract new award shall cover software licenses and maintenance for STATA, which is heavily used both by Census employees and Federal Statistical Research Data Centers users across hundreds of Census Bureau and federal agency partner projects. STATA quickly assists in analyzing data, finding patterns, and streamlining the decision-making process. Many projects are currently utilizing STATA including work related to Business Formation Statistics and Business Dynamics Statistics. STATA licenses also include maintenance (updates, bug fixes) and technical support services (assistance installing, using, and troubleshooting) for the STATA software. STATA serves a vital role in data analysis work at the Bureau and due to the significant reduction in SAS licenses and its eventual elimination, the need for STATA remains.
