Space Systems and Technical Assistance Services (SSTAS)

The National Risk Management Center (NRMC) engages in planning, analysis, and collaboration to identify, analyze, prioritize, and manage risks to critical infrastructure and national critical functions. The Secretary s Strategic Guidance and National Priorities for U.S. Critical Infrastructure Security and Resilience (June 14, 2024), identifies as a priority risk area the growing dependency of critical infrastructure on space systems and assets. CISA intends to expand work in this area though its Space Systems Initiative and related mechanisms, to identify, assess, and mitigate risk to space systems and space-based services (e.g., PNT, communications, and Earth observations). The Contractor shall provide strategic guidance and perform the following: support activities for initiation, development, and completion of a DHS Space Strategy and in launching and maintaining a new CIPAC working group to replace the Space Systems Critical Infrastructure Working Group.
