Southern Area Disaster Cultural Resource Services

Type: Forecast • Source ID: FY27_000638

Overview

Description
The Forest Service Southern Area needs multiple cultural resource surveys and services across multiple states following emergencies and disasters. Because severe weather events happen every year, this need is expected to continue for many years; however, while the need is known, it is impossible to know specifically where disasters and emergencies will occur ahead of time. Therefore, there is a need to support a large amount of cultural resource services following a disaster and in a narrow window following such emergencies.
