Description
Under the provisions of the Bipartisan Safer Communities Act (BCSA), Luke and Alex School Safety Act (LASSA) of 2022 Department of Homeland Security (DHS) Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA), Infrastructure Security Division (ISD) is required to administer the Federal School Safety Clearinghouse, SchoolSafety.gov, and 13 critical national school safety functions to support State, Local, Tribal and Territorial (SLTT) governments build safety and security capacity for more than 130,000 schools across the nation. The Clearinghouse is administered by CISA on behalf of the Departments of Education (ED), Justice (DOJ), Health and Human Services (HHS), and Homeland Security. This work is led by the CISA/ISD School Safety Task Force (SSTF) and this contract funds contractors with specialized K-12 school safety expertise to build security capacity that addresses the dynamic threat environment facing the K-12 school safety and security community.
