RM18-0758 Replace Waterfront Transformers and Igloos

The project will replace Replace nine existing 40-year old, three-phase, Delta-Delta configured transformers on Echo Wharf (4), Alpha (2), and Delta (2) with three-phase, Delta-Wye transformers. The transformers shall have On-Load Tap Changers (OLTC). The new transformers will allow for four additional shore power receptacles per igloo. This will allow for each shore power transformer to provide service to twelve receptacles. Additionally install a new Delta-Wye three phase transformer on Bravo-2 (1), tie into existing switchgear, and upgrade primary conductors. Construct new enclosure for the additional Bravo-2 transformer by expanding Building 1923 northward. Relocate Delta-1 substation (Building 421) since its current location is vulnerable to storm surge flooding. Construct an elevated substation south of the existing and demo Building 421.
