Replace Critical Structure Piles, EHW-1, B/7501, Bangor (Phase 8 of 9) (23591691)

Cat-2 FY25/Q3 Design FY28 Construction This project replaces deteriorating 24-inch critical structural concrete pilings at the Explosives Handling Wharf (EHW) with 30-inch steel pipe piles. The project includes removing the existing concrete pilings, installing replacement piles with Cathodic protection and constructing pile caps over the tops of the replacement piles. Existing deck and wall sections will be removed for crane access and then replaced. Additional work includes repairing construction-related damage to the EHW walls, deck and systems and other work necessary to restore the facility to operating condition.
