Overview
Description
1. Replace 4 existing power transformers with new minimum 7.5/10.5 MVA power transformers A/FA, 115 kV Delta-12.47 kV Wye. Perform load flow readings with temporary metering to determine the peak demand for sub.6. Include feeder switching to Delta Pier in load flow study.
2. Provide new 115-kV bypass of sub.6 yard with overhead line on wood poles and manually operated 3-way 115-kV manual switches at connection points outside of sub.6 yard. Include right of way clearing for new poles.
3. Provide transformer microprocessor protection relay with differential protection, CS monitoring and alarm, less-flammable oil, RTD winding sensors, Buchholz pressure relief relay, and accessory dials per WBDG spec.
4. Existing power transformers shall be delivered to govt. spares storage yard near helipad with the exception of power transformer T64 which shall have the oil removed and disposed of with the remaining dry T64 transformer delivered to Bangor recycling.
5. Provide motor operated switches for transformer high side and low side isolation.
6. Install new ground grid and connect to existing ground grid and include new station rock complying with IEEE 80 for the entire substation yard.
7. Replace existing 15 kV switchgear inside B7701 with new 15 kV, 2000A, 3 , 3W+G, having double high breaker cubicles and 15-kV ring bus design. Include Schneider AMI metering connected to Bangor AMI network, separate rack mounted microprocessor relays (away from breaker arc flash zone) with backup microprocessor relays for each 15-kV breaker, implement full IEEE function protection for feeder relays including 50, 51, 27, and other available functions, provide arc flash duct mitigation, switchgear ring bus tie breaker configuration, station control power transformer, spare cubicle fully pr ...
