Description
U.S. Coast Guard CEU Juneau Engineering group has identified a need for Design Build services for two radio repeater sites as part of the Rescue 21 suite of mountain top repeaters throughout Alaska. These repeaters are used to provide coverage for mariners allowing the USCG to respond to distress calls throughout Alaska. Contractor will be responsible for designing and building, and installing two repeaters at the following sites:
Sharatin Mountain: This project is to design and provide all materials, equipment, labor, and supervision, to install a new fiberglass hut containing dual propane generators and controls, as well as to install a new propane tank farm and associated piping and regulators.
Potato Point: This project is to design and provide all materials, equipment, labor, and supervision, to replace the 2 existing diesel generators, replace the existing 10000-gallon diesel tank, and other minor repairs, and to incorporate the changes into the existing SCADA (supervisory control and data acquisition) system.
