Provide LS Pump and install bypass system, B420, NASWI
Type: Forecast
Overview
Description
Full Required Repairs Project Bid Bust. As an emergency contingency action plan, UEM request that a bypass pumping system for emergencies be installed. Tap into the effluent forced main at LS 420 with connections, hoses and utilize the BOSC provided trash pump. BOSC has information about max flows to size the pump flow and head calcs. Tap location with means and methods has also been provided by the BOSC.
Under the new NS BOSC contract the BOSC has purchased a trash pump, will need to verify this pump is sized to accommodate the flows at LS 420, if so would need to install the bypass tap with hose and fittings for this style pump.
The main pump will be a replacement for one of the operational aging vault pumps in place now should we have a failure with long pump replacement lead times; this would allow us to use the alt emergency pump system while we replace the down pump with a new replacement pump purchased under this contract.
