Type: Forecast

Overview

Description
NavMPS supports the development, integration, test, and evaluation of mission planning and mission data products, providing Fleet users an automated means to plan, execute, and debrief all aspects of complex strike and assault missions against targets and sensor collection missions in an operational environment. The mission planning systems products include, but are not limited to, the Joint Mission Planning System (JMPS), Next Generation Mission Planning System (NGMPS), defensive Electronic Warfare (EW) planning components and future developmental of advanced mission management and defensive EW systems and capabilities. JMPS supports the full mission planning life-cycle through mission debrief and is used to develop, analyze, store, and download mission data for strike aircraft, support aircraft, defensive EW systems, and stand-off weapon systems. JMPS provides mission planning capabilities to Naval (US Navy and Marine Corps) aircraft, ship and shore sites. NGMPS aims to provide a more collaborative tool to enable multi-ship planning as a replacement system for JMPS. EW Aircrew Survivability Equipment requirements are supported through Radar Warning Operational Flight Programs releases that include integration activities and mission data updates. The contract's purpose involves providing engineering support to augment the efforts of the NavMPS SEIT and MDEWSSA IPT government personnel. The scope of this contract includes the development, integration, test and deployment of mission planning and mission data products: JMPS (Maritime, Expeditionary, foreign military sales [FMS] and development of components within the product line)), emerging technology mission management capabilities to include NGMPS, defensive EW libraries and integrated EW capabilities, and all associated mission planning and mission data subsystems. Manned platforms supported include but are not limited to: F/A-18, EA-18G, AV-8B, E-2C, E-2D, C-2A, P-3C, P-8, V-22, H-60, Expeditionary, Navy Legacy Helos, Marine Helos, CH-53E/K, VH-3 / VH-60, C-130, and F-35. Tasks include preparing the prescribed documentation required for the research, design, development, integration, test and deployment of mission planning and mission data tools. Additionally, tasks focus on assisting with the integration, test and evaluation of other developers' products connected to the software development of mission planning and mission data capabilities.
