This project proposes to renovate, reconfigure, and upgrade shop spaces within Building 3A. Project will be budged for FY23. Building 3A is a permanent, rectangular-shaped, one-story structure. It consists of concrete pier foundations and a concrete floor slab at grade, with concrete masonry unit exterior walls on three sides, steel structural framing, and a saw-tooth roof design. Building 3A consists of a large bay with a few rooms located on the outer perimeter, for a total area of 31,190 sqft. The main bay is separated into two evenly sized sections separated by a 20 foot tall wooden partition. One on side of the wooden partition is the CNIA nuclear area, and on the other side a training area comprised of three two-story portable structures utilized for classroom training. There are also three rooms on the North side of the building. Two are currently housing decommissioned equipment, and the other room houses more training, both classroom and hands-on. The scope of this project will include: 1. Renovation of two equipment storage rooms (compressor Rooms 1&2). The rooms contain large decommissioned equipment which may contain lead. Area requires disposal of the equipment and modernization of the area into training space. Disposal of the equipment may free up 1500SF of usable space. 2. Renovation of the restroom facility to include a mens and womens bathroom separately. Current restroom is a single stall unisex bathroom and is insufficient for the amount of workers in this facility. 3. Installation of new flooring in all four vision tower office spaces requires replacement. Floor tile is damaged, stained, and aged. 4.
