Persistent Surveillance & Detection (PSD) Expansion
Type: Forecast • Source ID: F2026072312
Overview
Description
Cross Border Tunnel Threat (CBTT) Program leverages the Persistent Surveillance Detection (PSD) system to provide continuous detection capabilities in high-risk areas. This capability also includes the ability to find links to existing infrastructure and to locate (within a certain degree of accuracy) the point at which a tunnel crosses the border. Additionally, USBP requires the capability to forecast the trajectory of a detected tunnel to the suspected entrance on the Mexican or Canadian side of the border, and to estimate the subsurface path to the exit point on the U.S. side of the border.
