Patent Portfolio (Global) Management and Prosecution Provider

The Office of Technology Transfer (OTT) utilizes the services of outside counsel to manage the USDAs large portfolio of non-U.S. patents and patent applications around the globe. OTT does not have the specialized legal expertise to maintain the non-U.S. portfolio and depends on the efforts of outside counsel. Unless actions from Patent Offices around the globe are responded to in a timely manner U.S. Government intellectual property (IP) rights and licensing revenue derived from those rights will lapse. The contract for the current service provider lapses in approximately 5 months.
