NSWC DDG(X) Land Based Test Site (LBTS)

SWCPD requests a 18 month Period of Performance for the design effort. This design effort focuses on demolition, repair, and construction work in and around Building 77H to support the next generation of guided-missile destroyers - the DDG(X). Historical information on the DDG(X) program and ship class is detailed further in Attachment (1). Prior to delivery of the lead ship, a Land Based Test Site (LBTS) must be constructed in Building 77H to test the propulsion system and various auxiliary systems. Class III & IV equipment outfitting of the LBTS will be performed by others but will require facility-related demolition, repair, and construction efforts to support the future equipment. Details on the scope of work from a FY2021 feasibility study are included in Attachment (2) with additional requirements and revisions reflected in Attachment (3). The disciplines included in this design effort will include, but are not limited to, the following: selective demolition, architectural, civil, geotechnical, structural, electrical, controls, mechanical, fuel oil, cooling water, fire protection, and civil. Please provide the SAES RFP to NSWCPD for review prior to solicitation.
