NSWC BLDG 142 REPLACE STEAM AND CONDENSATE LINES AND RENOVATE B144A

Type: Forecast

Overview

Description
EM25 NSWC BLDG 142 144A REPLACE STEAM AND CONDENSATE LINES RENOVATE 144A 27427776 WHY: * Renovate as needed 144A, roof, doors penetrations, etc... Replace all steam and condensate lines with insulated direct burial line. Run main steam and condensate line from point A over to building 144A. Install 3 flange bolted crane rising stem gave valves on the wall. These valves will be used as individual isolation valves for building 142 (B), 2707 (C), steam line running over to D supplying buildings 109 and 143. Condensate lines will need ran to each point as well. Replace any defective parts inside the square pit along with valves, line and replace insulation after replacement has been done. Fill in the old pit located inside 144A so that there is no confined space required. Install two new dual steam pumps inside building 144A along with all associated steam and condensate lines. Drip legs need installed throughout the system to ensure there is no chance of water hammer. Isolation valves need installed so that maintenance can be performed while one pump remains in service. Stainless steel spring check valves with Inconel seats must be installed so that the chemical in the steam and condensate does not deteriorate the seats. All condensate will be routed back to building 144A to the dual steam pumps. Replace wall mounted steam heaters inside building 144A so that the building stays properly heated. I will look over the SOW once its created so that things can be gone over to avoid missing something. I have attached an areal view with the letters A,B,C and D illustrating the locations of each.
