Scope, Design, and/or Study
PHASE 1, specific work by pavement section includes:
Section TWA-T10A: Remove existing concrete and asphalt pavements and base materials.
Haul and dispose of unsuitable and contaminated soils. Provide clean fill; crush
concrete for reuse as a new base course. Replace with 13" PCC over 8" of cement
stabilized crushed aggregate base course. Apply high temperature sealant as required
and repaint all taxiway striping and markings to UFC requirement.
Section TWA-36A: Remove existing concrete and asphalt pavements and base materials.
Haul and dispose of unsuitable and contaminated soils. Provide clean fill; crush
concrete for reuse as a new base course. Replace with 13" PCC over 8" of cement
stabilized crushed aggregate base course. Apply high temperature sealant as required
and repaint all taxiway striping and markings to UFC requirement. Replacement
pavement section reduced in size by approximately 7,000 SY and returned to turf.
Sections TWASH-S07D; TWASH-S06D: Remove existing shoulders and provide replacement
taxiway shoulders total 25' wide paved with 2" of AC over 12" of compacted crushed
aggregate base course per UFC requirements. Haul and dispose of unsuitable and
contaminated soils and provide clean fill.
