Overview
Description
The purpose of this project is to acquire a navigation software solution that meets applicable maritime standards and the operational requirements of the United States Coast Guard (USCG). The software must support a range of equipment configurations based on platform-specific mission requirements from basic navigation capabilities for smaller boats to integrated, multi-user systems for larger cutters. The navigation software will provide users with accurate and timely information to support the safe navigation and operation of Coast Guard boats and cutters and promote fleet-wide standardization. A typical configuration will integrate GPS capabilities compatible with other GNSS, radar, depth-sensing equipment, heading sensors, AIS, and DSC equipment. The navigation system shall support Multicast UDP, Unicast UDP, TCP/IP client and server, NMEA 0183, NMEA 0183-HS, NMEA OneNet, and NMEA 2000.
