NBPL-512 UPGRADE FIRE PROTECTION SYSTEM
Type: Forecast
Overview
Description
DESCRIPTION OF WORK:
Risk Assessment be completed to ensure that the building and the occupants are properly protected. Considered an Explosive Operating Facility. The wet pipe sprinkler system needs to be re-evaluated to determine if it is sized correctly to handle the hazard. Per the UFC the building may require an ultra-high speed deluge system (one that has water in the pipes) but does use an explosion proof detector to notify occupants early. The Fire alarm system is antiquated and would also need to be re-evaluated to be updated to include new detectors, horns and strobes. Recommend DB contract be started to correct both the sprinkler and fire alarm system deficiencies.
