ISSUE & IMPACT if not completed: Building 426 is in need of renovation and has excessive degradation due to age and normal wear and tear. Facility 426 does not provide adequate office space and the ceiling tile is deteriorating. The bathrooms require a complete remodel and there is no insulation in the building. The building has been identified as having lead and asbestos and presents a safety hazard for anyone entering the facility. NAVFAC Environmental provided a notification of the health hazards that is required to be posted at the entry to warn individuals of the hazards entering the facility. a) Mission Need Date ( MND ): FY24 qtr 3 6. FULL PROJECT SCOPE: Renovate building 426 and add 1200 sq. ft. to the south end of the existing building. Renovate building and construct a 1200 sq. ft. addition. The building will include all equipment listed in DoD Standard Design 123-355-03, to include: o New Wiring and conduit o New Alarms o New Lighting o New Communication/telephone o New Receptacles o New Roof Install new kitchenette to include upper and lower cabinets, solid surface countertop, sink, faucet, and garbage disposal.
