Description
1.1.Military Sealift Command requires a comprehensive program to train Unlicensed Engine Mariners to Licensed 3rd Assistant Engineers / Standards of Training, Certification, and Watchkeeping (STCW) Officers-in-Charge of an Engineering Watch (OICEW) of Motor vessels 750KW-1000 HP or More. The curriculum includes a suite of United States Coast Guard (USCG) approved training, full-mission simulation experiences, instructor-facilitated license exam preparation, tutoring, and assistance with student's license application and USCG examinations. On-campus lodging and full meal services are to be included in the program and provided by the contractor. Students must be able to walk between classrooms, dining facilities and their rooms. Cohorts will be comprised of five or more unlicensed Civil Service Mariners (CIVMARs).
