MPO Basin Fuel Pipeline Repairs

Type: Forecast

Overview

Description
DLA EBS # 10554307. CURRENT SITUATION: Most of the NAVSTA Mayport basin fuel pipelines are circa 1966. These pipelines are mostly single wall direct bury pipelines with questionable cathodic protection. Three areas have been upgraded to double wall pipelines, but the low point drains and high point vents containments need repair. One section, Alpha Wharf, has three sections of piping that are exposed to tidal saltwater as it is exposed in the three storm drains. Most of the fuel pit pipelines are showing signs of severe corrosion with difficult to open pit lids. Many of the fuel pits need to be resealed. SCOPE OF WORK: Request Design-Bid-Build project based on the attached Scope of Work in Word document SOW Mayport Basin Repairs.docx . These 11 pages of discrepancies were noted on a recent Command Inspection of the turning basin fuel pipeline system. Request design funds to be awarded by 15 Oct 2024.
