Modeling and Simulation Systems Engineering (MSSE) Recompete

BACKGROUND: ESI Directorate's primary mission supports DoW organizations and agencies in combatting evolving and emerging threat and related exploitation and replication, operational rehearsal, exercise, and wargaming support and counter system development activities as well as integration and experimentation activities to include Modeling and Simulation activities. The objective is to enable the integration and synchronization of force generation, force development and force design to transform how the Armed Services bring together technology and doctrine at speed. The purpose of the Modeling and Simulation (M&S) Area is to develop and apply models and simulations to the application of military and commercial technologies and system lifecycle activities to ensure warfighter readiness and future capabilities are realized. Using these capabilities, and in collaboration with Joint Service agencies, Other Government Agencies (OGAs) and industry, rapidly enables cost effective solutions that facilitate readiness and technological dominance in battlefield environments. The M&S Area is geographically dispersed with operations located primarily at Aberdeen Proving Ground, Maryland; Redstone Arsenal (RSA), Alabama; Schriever Air Force Base (AFB), Colorado; the Camp Smith and Pacific Warfare Center (PWC) located on the island of Oahu, Hawaii; and other Contiguous United States (CONUS) and Outside Contiguous United States (OCONUS) locations. MISSION: Contractor shall support S3I's M&S Systems Engineering mission requirements which support all branches of the Armed Services, multiple Program Offices and other DOW organizations/offices IRT the development of and improvements for their respective systems. Contractor support shall include recurring scientific and engineering responsibilities that support the continued modernization of aviation and missile capabilities. Anticipated tasks shall include activities to accomplish basic research, engineering and operational systems development directed towards supporting system-of-systems (SoS); systems engineering (SE); live/virtual/constructive (LVC) modeling and simulation multi-domain operations modeling; simulations; and analysis for S3I Directorate's M&S and Systems Engineering Functional Efforts. Please note. Contractor performance locations will be primarily in Government-sponsored facilities.
