Overview
Description
The purpose of this contract is to assist CMS in developing and calculating Part D sponsors' performance and quality measures. The Contractor will support CMS in its effort to improve the level of accountability for the care beneficiaries receive from Medicare Part D contracts through the Part D Patient Safety measures. Additionally, the Contractor will support CMS efforts to prevent and address opioid overutilization through the OMS, which assists Part D sponsors in administering their DMPs as required by 42 CFR 423.153(f). The contract also includes tasks associated with the analysis of Patient Safety, quality and medication safety metrics, and the evaluation of the impact of current and proposed future Part D policies on beneficiary health care utilization and outcomes.
