Medical Case Management for Workers Compensation Program

TSA is seeking a contractor to provide a full range of Workers Compensation Medical Case Manager (MCM) Services to support approximate 4,000 open worker s compensation cases. In addition, the TSA expects an annual case load of approximately 3,000 new First Report of Injury (FROI) as well as managing approximately 1,100 long term disability or Periodic Roll cases. MCM services are required throughout the United States, the District of Columbia, and U.S. Territories including Puerto Rico, U.S. Virgin Island, Guam, Northern Mariana Islands and American Samoa. The Contractor shall provide a toll free Injury Reporting Hotline 24 hours a day, seven days a week, to capture and input data from the FROI and provide live coverage to receive calls and input data received from the Injury Reporting Hotline into a case management database. The scope of this requirement includes MCM Services with a configured Information Technology (IT) solution, to enable Nurses to execute case management processes, and allow the electronic case management activities to be performed at local airports by TSA HR staff. The Contractor shall provide MCM services encompassing: (1) Injury Care Support Services; (2) Medical Case Management Services; and (3) An enabling IT Solution. The Contractor shall be required to proactively manage cases of all durations, including long-term disability (Periodic Roll) claims, from the FROI through a successful Return-to-Work or case resolution.
