This project will develop a curriculum for clinical trial investigators focused on rural and older adult communities to address key aspects of conducting clinical trials in rural settings, including recruitment, retention, ethics, data management, regulatory compliance, and community engagement. It will also assess the research needs and develop action plans for rural and older adult populations to be recruited for and enrolled in clinical trials, particularly for addressing chronic diseases among these populations. Strategies and actions plans will relate to informed consent, understanding medical device trials, adopting digital technology and compliant clinical trial management.
