The Sand Cave Trail Boardwalk was constructed in 1993, but the original trail was installed in 1973.A summary of the proposed rehabilitation work is as follows:The removal and replacement of the deteriorated boardwalk, including all decking, stringers and handrails on the present boardwalk (678 linear feet).Formalizing the visitor use trail will allow visitors to traverse from the top of the entrance shelter, and will gradually descend to the Sand Cave entrance.
