LOGISTICS SUPPORT SERVICES - CRATE CONSTRUCTION, PACKING, PACKAGING & MARKING

The U.S. Coast Guard s Surface Forces Logistics Center (SFLC) is the centralized inventory source of parts, equipment, and materials for Coast Guard assets worldwide. A crucial part of SFLC s mission is to provide material management services including packing, packaging, and marking of (a) outbound materials, (b) received materials or (c) mandatory turn-in materials and/or materials not yet shipped to SFLC s Inventory Control Point Baltimore, MD (ICP). This Contract augments SFLC ICP s organic capability by implementing off-site wood crate construction, assembly, delivery, on-site packing, packaging and/or marking support of on hand inventory in either newly constructed wood crates or re-packaging of rejected and un-packaged materials in specified fiberboard boxes in accordance with specifications prescribed in the SOW and based upon the ICP s immediate need. Description of Services The contractor may expect Task Orders to construct wood crates, boxes or containers based on the government s intended use, item sensitivity and overall item weight. Task Orders for wood crate construction, assembly, delivery, on-site pack & packaging, sealing, marking and/or labelling crates or fiberboard shipping boxes. Upon receipt of Task Orders and to satisfy the government s immediate need for logistical re-packaging services, the contractor shall complete wood crate construction and deliver to the ICP within days, or deliver crates, logistical services within this SOW within a specific pre-arranged time, typically within calendar 21-days.
