Locally-led Development and Peacebuilding (LDP)

This Activity will complement the USAID/Sudan development and humanitarian assistance portfolio by increasing Sudanese capacity to address conflict and build peace, engage in democratic processes, and promote community resilience and socio-economic development. As Sudan's political, security, and socio-economic situation continues to evolve, flexibility to respond to new opportunities and challenges with programming of varying scope and duration will be critical to the overall impact of other USAID/Sudan interventions. The ability to issue largely un-predetermined grants where and when appropriate to achieve specific goals and outcomes will help USAID/Sudan minimize risk, while maximizing the potential for meaningful programming in support of peace, stability, democracy, and development.
