Law Enforcement Vehicle Radio and Laptop Accessory Installations

The Department of Homeland Security (DHS), Federal Protective Service (FPS) has identified a requirement for supplemental upfitting of FPS fleet law enforcement vehicles which includes the installation of government furnished equipment (GFE) (e.g., Motorola APX 8500 All-Band P25 Mobile Radios, associated cables and accessories, radio chargers, laptop mounts and laptop chargers, etc.). Vehicle transport from the GSA delivery points to the designated upfitter location(s) as well from the upfitter location(s) to the assigned FPS destinations throughout the U.S. is also required. The government will transport vehicles when feasible. Over the next 5-years, GSA leased police use vehicle replacements and subsequent FPS radio install and laptop accessory installation requirements range from roughly 150 to 430 vehicles per year.
