Description
The purpose of this Project is installation of a fire suppressing sprinkler system in the Bldg. 1 visitation area and Bldg. 11 dormitory. Contractor shall provide all materials, labor, tools, equipment and daily supervision required to deliver, install and test the newly installed fire suppressing sprinkler system. Contractor shall field verify all conditions pertaining to this project prior to starting any work. Any discrepancies between field conditions and the statement of work (SOW) shall be immediately brought up to the Contracting Officer's Representative (COR) attention. All work shall meet or exceed the minimum standards as set forth in the current edition of the International Building Code and any applicable Federal Government Standards. Whichever document is more stringent. All work shall conform to the most current regulation of the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA). Contractor shall ensure all employees (contractor and sub-contractor) use appropriate protective clothing and equipment at all times. Contractor shall develop a work and safety plan and adhere to it. Plan shall be reviewed by ICE upon request. Contractor shall maintain all safety measures during work to protect agency personnel, people in general and adjacent property. Contractor shall protect all adjacent surfaces, furnishings and equipment during the performance of the project. The Contractor shall be held responsible for all damages directly related to the work. Contractor shall keep work areas clean and free of debris at all times. Contractor shall not store materials or equipment in any area other than those designated by the agency and the COR. All the equipment and materials related to the project are the Contractor s responsibility to secure daily. The Government shall not be liable for equipment and/or materials that get damaged or stolen from the work area. All submittals and proposed methods for making the necessary installations shall be approved by the COR prior to the commencement of any work. All workspace, staging areas, areas used for moving materials, trash, tools, etc. are to be kept clean at all times. All trash from the day s work is to be removed and the work site clean and orderly. Contractor shall contact the COR upon completion of the work to schedule the final inspection and acceptance.
