Description
Establish a Base + Options Contract for NOAA SATCOM Services. The NOAA Aircraft Operations Center (AOC) instruments, maintains, and operates aircraft in support of a variety of meteorological and oceanographic research projects. One of the primary requirements in a variety of missions is high reliability data and voice communications. AOC heavy aircraft (N42RF, N43RF, and N49RF) are equipped with satellite communications systems compatible with Inmarsat satellite based communications systems. Satellite communications service utilizing the Inmarsat communication satellite system are offered by a number of vendors licensed as distributors of the Inmarsat products.
