Overview
Description
The U.S. Department of Homeland Security (DHS) U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) is deploying Incident-Driven Video Recording Systems (IDVRS) to document law enforcement incidents and enhance transparency of its law enforcement operations. Following a successful IDVRS deployment to select sites in FY2021 - FY2022, IDVRS is looking to procure additional body-worn cameras and related technology to expand deployment to select locations in 2023.
Incident-Driven Video Recording Systems (IDVRS) incorporates body-worn cameras, vehicle-mounted cameras, and other incident-driven video recording technologies, as well as associated video management systems and data storage. The procured solution requires a FedRAMP-authorized cloud-based video management application, and FedRAMP-authorized cloud storage. IDVRS will deploy to select CBP locations.
Acquisition Strategy: This is a sole source buy from a large company. DHS has a mandatory requirement that all body worn camera vendors are FedRamp authorized. The intended company is the only company to date that is FedRamp authorized.
