Description
The Office of the Chief Security Officer (OCSO), Threat Management Operations (TMO), Center for International Safety and Security (CISS), Technical Operations Branch (TOB) is responsible for providing technical threat detection and mitigation for the Secretary of Homeland Security. The OCSO/TOB must be able to provide technology to protect DHS Information. OCSO employs a wide variety of technologies and techniques to protect classified national security information, restricted data, and/or sensitive but unclassified information.
The FLIR GF615 is necessary technology to detect short and medium-wave IR signatures and reflected laser energy. This cooled broadband camera can detect very subtle temperature differences and shortwave energy sources simultaneously, with little noise. The GF615 stores thermal and/or digital video as MPEG4/H.264 to the memory card and view playback on the LCD display or streamed to a monitor. This equipment being used by various government and military in the protection of information.
