F-35 AIRCRAFT SUSTAINMENT CENTER

Construct a depot-level, F-35 compliant aircraft maintenance facility. Building space will consist of aircraft rework high bay space to accommodate 20 F-35 aircraft, maintenance shop space, maintenance aircraft storage space, production control and administrative space, secure space, and data network areas. Construction of the hangar will consist of structural steel framing, brick and metal wall panels and metal wall panels with back-up concrete masonry unit (CMU) wall system, structurally supported reinforced concrete slab over concrete pile supported foundation, and metal roof system. The facility includes heating and air conditioning in the administrative and hangar bays to mitigate the high humidity and opportunity for corrosion of aircraft components. Fire suppression, fire alarms and mass communication systems are included. Construct an aircraft parking area consisting of concrete pavement with asphalt shoulder, lighting, signage, and striping. Construct an aircraft taxiway consisting of concrete pavement with asphalt shoulder, lighting, signage and striping. Construct an aircraft access apron consisting of concrete pavement with asphalt shoulder, lighting, signage and striping.
