EPSCoR Data Outcomes Portal
Type: Forecast
Overview
Description
Given the depth and breadth of the program, it is important for EPSCoR to ensure progress at the project and programmatic levels. To do this, EPSCoR seeks to collect a variety of different data: participant demographics and career indicators, institutional and individual collaborations, funding, publications, patents, presentations, fellowships, and several other key outcome indicators. For each of these indicators, all details are to be collected, curated, and reported. EPSCoR has OMB clearance to collect this information annually, in addition to the reporting required in the Research Performance Progress Reports (RPPR). EPSCoR is seeking to utilize a system that standardizes collection across and within all of the Research Infrastructure Improvement (RII) Tracks. This will entail developing an online data collection portal, with individual user interfaces at multiple admin levels (individual project participant, PI/PD/PA, NSF admin). Depending on the robustness of the portal and admin-level capabilities, EPSCoR may elect to develop a broader analytics-based approach, over a number of phases, to support EPSCoR's project/program assessment
needs.
