Enterprise VMware SW. On-premise software to support customers. This purchase is for license subscriptions for VMware s virtual enterprise platforms used by USGS for data center consolidation. Without these licenses the USGS is not able to update and patch their systems. The USGS uses VMware virtual enterprise platforms to fulfill the Land Remote Sensing Act of 1992 and in support of National Earthquake Information Center and Albuquerque Seismic Laboratory missions to monitor earthquake and provide rapid response capabilities.
