Description
The U.S. Border Patrol (USBP) requires the capability to enhance situational awareness for field commanders and agents in areas that lack nearby traditional surveillance systems, increasing risk to agents and inhibiting threat mitigation. The eMVSS-R capability will consist of the ability to detect, identify, classify, and track Items of Interest used in or suspected of unlawful border crossing activities. Each eMVSS-R will be responsible for monitoring an Area of Coverage (AoC) that is comprised of the instantaneous field of view (FoV) and the total field of regard (FoR). This requirement is to upfit existing MVSS-R with advanced capabilities and provide new units with enhanced capabilities. Acquisition Strategy: Sole source to large business.
