Description
This is intended to be an unrestricted (for All Schedule holders) task order off of the MAS of Human Capital under Schedule for Social Services (624SS). This contract calls for the provision of backup care services for up to an estimated 60,000 CBP employees and their eligible family members. Backup care services will be provided by one contractor to employees located in any of the 50 United States, District of Colombia, the U.S. Virgin Islands, Puerto Rico, Guam, Bahamas, Canada, and other overseas locations.
The contractor providing backup care services for CBP will be responsible for the following:
Administration of up to ten (10) planned or same-day backup care visits per employee, per fiscal year. Backup care types to include at minimum:
o Children (infants through teens, including mildly ill)
o Adult/Elder (spouse, parents, parents in-law, adults with special needs) for whom employees are the primary caregivers
o Self-care (for employees who are ill or recovering from illness or surgery)
o Pet care (for employees on TDY or unable to care for their pet due to work)
Leverage an existing nationwide network of qualified, state licensed, and vetted child care centers and in-home care agencies, including a strategy to expand the network.
Provide a range of backup care options, including:
o In-Network
? Contractor arranged care using their existing nationwide network including center and home-based options.
o Personal Network
? Employee arranged care using a center, camp, family member, friend, or caregiver of their choice.
Process provider payments and collect employee co-payments ($20) for in-network care visits.
Process employee reimbursements for personal network arranged care visits utilizing the reimbursement structure below (no co-payments):
o Reimburse employees up to $75/day for care provided by a family member, friend, or other non-licensed/regulated caregiver.
o Reimburse employees up to the amount paid (verified by receipt) for care provided by a center, camp, or other licensed/regulated care provider.
