Description
Proposed construction for this Marine Corps Air Station Miramar (MCASM) project includes the following:
1 MW of solar photovoltaics, a 1.9 MW battery energy storage system (BESS), 1.4 MW of standby generators and associated interconnections, modernization of underground electrical distribution infrastructure to include high voltage electrical connections, cabling, and manholes, microgrid controls, other supporting systems (metering, remote terminal units, and uninterruptable power supplies), cybersecurity and other general requirements, such as baselining system performance.
Supporting work includes communications infrastructure, specifically fiber optic cable on all six major power distribution loops across 100 electric pads.
