Design & Installation of Replacement Ship's Service and Emergency Switchboard for the US Coast Guard 154 WPC Class Cutter (Hulls 1101 through 1138)

Earlier 154 WPC class cutters, also known as the USCG Fast Response Cutter (FRC), utilize Ship s Service and Emergency Switchboards designed and built by RAACI (Robichaux Automation and Control, Inc.). These are applicable to all Phase 1 cutters (Hulls 1101 thru 1132) and early Phase 2 cutters (Hulls 1133 thru 1138). These switchboards utilize Woodard EasyGen 3200 series controllers and Siemens 3VL circuit breakers and PLCs. The RAACI switchboards use older technology that is currently experiencing obsolescence and part supply issues. Hulls 1139 and up utilize switchboards designed and built by Point Eight Power, incorporated via an Engineering Change Proposal through the acquisition program. To improve commonality of systems and address obsolescence within the FRC fleet, the U.S. Coast Guard seeks to retrofit Hulls 1101 through 1138 with Point Eight Power switchboards. This requirement is a non-personal services contract to provide all labor, materials, services, equipment, supplies, power, accessories and facilities to upgrade the Ship s Service and Emergency Generator Switchboards on the United States Coast Guard (USCG) 154 Sentinel Class (154 WPC) cutters, Hulls 1101 through 1138. Place of Performance: Design efforts will be accomplished at the Contractor's facility. Installations onboard two cutters (TBD) will be accomplished either at vessels homeport or during a shipyard availability.
