Description
Maximo#: HYZLXB NWA: This project proposes to repurpose and modernize Building 17A (B17A), Makalapa, Joint Base Pearl Harbor Hickam, JBPHH Hawaii. B17A is currently vacant (CCN 61010) and will be used for COMMAND, CONTROL, COMMUNICATIONS, COMPUTERS, AND INTELLIGENCE FACILITY (CCN 14380)for N46 Fleet Civil Engineer staff. B17A, built in 1944, is a distinctive type of Quonset hut with 3' high concrete base and has a relative historic significance Category III designation in the 2008 CNRH Integrated Cultural Resources Management Plan (ICRMP). Project will completely modernize B17A while retaining character-defining historic features. Interior renovation include the following: Demolition of existing walls, bathroom fixtures, flooring, ceiling, lighting, and air conditioning system and providing new. Interior work will add new fire protection system, add new telecommunication infrastructure(wiring and devices are not part of this scope of work and will be provided by others. New bathrooms to meet Architectural Barriers Act (ABA)and Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA). In addition interior work will include structural upgrades. Exterior work includes the following: o Replace all exterior doors. o Repair/recover existing roof. o Paint exterior of building. o Providing new sewer and water lines.
