Description
This project will replace the deteriorated gates and miter sill at Inlet Lock 2 and provide masonry repairs to the historic Inlet Lock 2 stone masonry walls. This project will result in the preservation of the lower section of the canal through controlling and maintaining water conveyance through the canal. This will allow the interpretive canal boat rides to continue during low flow conditions on the Potomac River and enhance visitor satisfaction.
