CHIPS R&D: RF Channel Propagation Measurements & Modeling, Arbitrary Waveform Generator

Type: Forecast • Source ID: 42057

Overview

Description
Abstract An accurate characterization of how the wireless signal propagates through different environments and frequency bands, is key to developing RF communications circuits. This measurement need has been identified by the research community and documented in many publications and roadmaps. This project aims at developing novel measurements and instruments for characterizing RF propagation and developing models and datasets for use in modeling and simulation of RF communications circuits. Problem Statement The need for propagation measurements to develop and evaluate communication circuits has been identified by the research community and well documented in many publications and roadmaps [1][2][3]. Given its importance in the wireless communication circuit design life cycle, this need fits within the Modeling and Simulating Semiconductor Materials, Designs, and Components Challenge (4), and the stated goals to impro
