"CDERLearn is an educational platform that offers a variety of learning opportunities for healthcare professionals, industry, consumers, and academia. The goal of CDERLearn is to create a body of educational and information modules about human drug regulation, scientific and regulatory activities, and to share FDA expertise in specific subject areas to further instruct the public about the many ways CDER protects and promotes public health. Cost supports hosting educational materials, CE support and a marketing/advertising plan. CDERLearn is the hub for both regulated industry and healthcare professionals to access training materials. CDERLearn supports HHS strategic goals, FDA's Regulatory Strategic Plan, and OCOMM's Strategic Communications Plan for transparency, increasing public awareness, and strengthening public trust. It currently hosts programs developed by OND, OPDP and PASE. The CDERLearn program is an external learning platform that offers user-friendly access for the public to obtain comprehensive educational materials to gain in-depth knowledge about human drug regulation and other strategic topics about human drugs such as drug safety, efficacy, and misuse. If funding is withheld for the CDERLearn program, we would be unable to serve our medical community, industry, and consumers the diversity in training methods that this platform offers. In addition, we would also be unable to fulfill HHS's mission, including supporting the FDA Regulatory Strategic Plan of helping consumers and healthcare providers make informed decisions about regulated products."
