CBP/USBP Full Matrix Portable Changeable Message Sign

Customs and Border Protection (CBP) is seeking full matrix, portable-changeable message signs. This procurement will display pertinent information to passing motorists at United States Border Patrol (USBP) checkpoints. CBP is seeking to purchase 20, portable message boards, which provides a digital display that can provide essential information to motorists within the vicinity of the USBP checkpoints. USBP checkpoints are mission critical and must be appropriately designed and installed to facilitate the border security mission in a manner that helps to ensure the safety and security of both agents and the public. Portable message signs must be deployed to alert drivers near checkpoints, ensuring that the equipment is weather-resistant and compliant with CBP standards. Information should be presented using large text and graphics that are legible from distances exceeding one thousand feet, with over 250 preprogrammed options available. Compliance with the Manual on Uniform Traffic Control Devices for Streets and Highways (MUTCD) as mandated by the Federal Highway Administration is essential. The LED technology employed must guarantee outstanding visibility in all weather conditions and offer a broad viewing angle. All demolition, removal and installation of booths, bollards and power, HVAC and communications connections must be completed and fully operational at all locations no later than six (6) months after the award.
